You know my family treats paying full price like a cardinal sin, so when Booking.com launched a sale this morning, I had to pass it along!

Late Escape Deals: at least 15% off stays worldwide

Here's how it works:

• Book: September 3, 2026 – January 7, 2027
• Travel: October 1, 2026 – January 7, 2027
• Where: Any participating property with the "Late Escape Deal" label
• How much: At least 15% off the room rate (some properties it's higher)

That window covers fall foliage trips, Thanksgiving, Christmas markets, and New Year's — basically every excuse you've been looking for to get out of town before the year ends.

A few tips for getting the most out of it:

1. Look for the label. Not every property is participating, so look for the "Late Escape Deal" tag when you search. If you don't see it, the discount doesn't apply.
2. Book early for peak dates. The discount is nice, but holiday-week availability disappears fast. Lock in December now, not in November.
3. Don't modify after booking. Changing dates or room type can void the discount, so be sure of your plan before you hit confirm.
4. Check the free-cancellation filter. Plenty of participating properties still offer flexible cancellation, which makes it a low-risk way to grab a deal while you finalize plans.

One thing to know: the 15% applies to the room rate only, not taxes or extra fees.
